Vitruvian is a one-man rock and metal project run by musician and composer, David Skelnik. He is a multi-instrumentalist with over 25 years of experience and has been in countless bands throughout his life as a guitarist, a bassist, and a drummer – touring areas on both the east and west coast of the United States. But after his last attempt to put together a solid and reliable band of musicians failed, he decided to venture out on his own and fully immerse himself in his solo project.

Vitruvian incorporates a wide range of sounds and styles with influences from progressive rock and metal masters like Symphony X, Dream Theater and Pink Floyd.

Vitruvian’s first official album “The New Beginning” is both a personal story and an exploration into the human situation that we all face. It incorporates ideas of Zen, universal enlightenment, and understanding the human mind.

The love for storytelling is readily apparent and reflected in Vitruvian’s music as each song is a progression that takes the listener on an epic journey.
